The Alceo Tempranillo is produced by Familia Bastida in Castilla La Mancha from estate grown grapes. The Tempranillo grapes are grown on rocky limestone soil, hand picked and fermented naturally without addition of cultured yeasts. It is then aged for about 6 months in French and American oak barrels which lends vanilla, coconut and buttery, smoky, spicy notes to the ample black cherry flavour. It is an intense, full bodied, modern take on one of Spain's most celebrated grape varieties.
