Badenhorst are a family run winery and part of a new generation of South African winemakers who make exceptional wines from more unknown areas of South Africa.
The Chenin vines are old-bush vines with an average age of 40 years which means lower yields and therefore, more concentration. Once picked, they add nothing to their wines other than a little sulphur at bottling.
This Chenin is concentrated, honeyed, floral and has a touch of white nuts on the finish. Fairly high alcohol is tempered with good acidity and a roundness in the mouth.
Grape varieties: Chenin Blanc
Winemaking method: Organic
