Valdeorras means ‘Valley of Gold’ and is a reference to the Roman’s discovering gold here thousands of years ago. Of course, once they were done mining, they planted vines and it’s been home to some of Spain’s most interesting, if somewhat overlooked wines. Can do Sil is a cracking wine produced from Mencia and Garnacha from younger vines and parcels around the cellar. It is unoaked and bright forward and deliciously drinkable.
