Traditionally made Chateauneuf du Pape made from 50 year old Grenache vines as well as some Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre and several others. 10% of the wine goes into new barrels, the rest is aged in large old oak foudres or concrete tanks.
The result is a rich, rasined style of Chateauneuf which currently has a great balance betweeen fresh, dark berry fruit and tertiary flavours such as leather and spice. 2010 was a fantastic vintage for the region is drinking brilliantly now, but will last a few more years to come. A great value wine.
