Forget the watery Beaujolais Nouveau of old, this wine is fresh, concentrated and utterly moreish. Light bodied but full of concentration, we love this Brouilly for its strawberry, raspberry and cherry flavours with a touch of violet and raspberry leaf.
The Cret Des Garanches domaine is owned and run by Sylvie Dufaitre-Genin whose family have been making wine since 1752. She owns just under 12 hectares of vines in Brouilly and Cote de Brouilly on the typical granitic soil of the Beaujolais. Paired with the Gamay grape, this can give wines a bright, floral and uniquely fresh character.
