This is a domaine very close to our hearts - in 2018 we did harvest with the Chapels.
A bright, fruity Beaujolais Villages from the Lantigne region (our hot tip for good value-great quality Beaujolais wine), this is everything a Beaujolais Villages should be; fresh, light, full of energy, red fruit and great concentration.
David and Michele Chapel are the lovebirds of Beaujolais. After meeting (and it was essentially love at first sight) when Michele was a high-flying New York sommelier and David was working at the prestigious Lapierre domaine, they moved to New York before returning to Beaujolais to set up Domaine Chapel in 2016.
They are mentored by Guy Breton, one of the original gang for 4 - a gaggle of Beaujolais producers who have raised the quality of Beaujolais wine - particularly of the natural kind - beyond recognition. The wines are made with indigenous yeasts, unfined, unfiltered, the only addition is a small amount of suplhites at bottling.
This is a domaine to watch out for.
