The Johanneshof Reinisch Gumpoldskirchner Tradition from Thermenregion is a blend of Zierfandler and Rotgipfler. Now hands up who’s heard of any of those words before? Me neither. But when I was presented the wine by its importer a few weeks ago I knew we had to have it. It’s complex, savoury, minerally and smoky with quite a soft rounded palate and a super long finish. A wonderful new discovery!
