It's not technically Prosecco because rose sparkling wines of the area can't be named as such, but it basically is. La Jara's rose frizzante is a riot of strawberry and raspberry fruit with a creamy texture and soft bubbles. There's not a hint of harshness in there, all just lovely, velvety, fun sparkling that slips down really rather nicely.
La Jara vineyard is based close to the Piave river where the soil is gravelly (Jara actually means gravel). The calcerous stones help to retain acidity and freshness in the finished wine, helped along the way by organic practices and a newly built state-of-the-art winery.
