London Cru was England’s first urban winery. Located in Battersea, it specialises in sourcing brilliant grapes mainly from France, shipping them as quickly as possible to the UK and vinifying in London.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from Limoux in the south of France, an area famous for its Chardonnay, both in still and sparkling versions. The wine isn’t too overblown in style; think lemon rind rather than full on tropical fruit. The quality, for the price, is incredible.
