Mauricio Lorca makes his wines simply, honestly and beautifully. While studying at medical school, a chance visit by a winemaker pushed him to a totally different career and it has been a passion project ever since. Having worked for many Argentinian wineries, he now runs his own estate in the prestigious Uco Valley region of Mendoza.
From the first sip this is a quintessentially Malbec: smooth, rich and with a gorgeously intense fruity palate. A little bit of oak ageing adds vanilla spice, while a small dash of Syrah lends black pepper fierceness on the finish. This is a wine that needs flame, smoke and a big piece of meat.
