An absolute joy of a wine at a great price, Vin de Petanque has consistently been one of our personal favourites since we started in 2013.
Made by the Libian estate deep in the depths of the Ardeche, it's made from their young vine plots and is vinified in stainless steel.
The grapes are organically and biodynamcially farmed. They only have a light crushing when harvested and a short maceration to retain freshness and lightness. But there is some serious depth and complexity in there with flavours of red cherries and those quintessential garrigue herbs.
As the winemaker says himself: "An easy-drinking wine, without pretense or snobbery: made for sharing with friends, bottle after bottle…"
Grape varieties: Grenache (75%), Syrah (25%)
Winemaking method: Organic / biodynamic
