A bright, sunny wine, packed full of berry fruit and spice flavours. Made with native yeasts, part of the wine spends 3 months in barrel which lends a touch of cocoa and vanilla to the wine. Exceptional value for money.
Pago Casa Gran are based in the Valencia region, close to Murcia. It's a warm climate but these guys have high altitude vineyards which keeps the grapes fresh and the wine in balance.
Valencia is a world of extremes. On one hand, bulk wine is king - Valencia makes a huge amount of wine that turns up sub-£6 in your local supermarket.
On the other, there are some brave pioneering souls that have realised that the Valencia region can make some exceptionally lovely, artisan, fruit-driven wines - often at great prices. Guess which category Casa Gran falls into.....
