Salcheto are an organic estate dedicated to a specific clone of Sangiovese that makes up the majority of the town of Montepulciano. This clone gives softer, plum-like flavours to their wines. The wines are aged in a mixture of stainless steel, Slavonian, American and French oak for 24 months.
This is one of our go-to wines when cooking Italian feasts at home; the wine is dense and rich but with freshness and elegance. Organically grown grapes, very little manipulation in the winemaking process, it’s a beautiful wine.
