The 'D' on the label refers to 'dry' - no residual sugar lurking in this bottle. The wine is made from old vines (at least 40 years) that give incredible fruit at low yields.
A classic style of New Zealand Riesling with flavours of kaffir lime, a touch of beeswax and jasmine. It's fresh, sure, but not searingly acidic. A perfectly balanced wine.
The TWR estate has been around since the 1970s and is currently owned by Anna and Jason Flowerday, who have winemaking in their blood.
They're passionate about organics; their 11 hectares are all farmed organically with some biodynamic intervention, and any fruit they source from elsewhere must be sustainably grown at the very least.
