One of our favourite wines of all time, if this was made any further north, it would command a MUCH higher price tag.
A ripe Pinot Noir that evokes flavours of cherry, vanilla, cedarwood and even a touch of smoke. Young Vincent has some fantastic plots in Rully, an area more famed for its relatively cheap, bulk wine. But not when it comes to Vincent.
He has been organic since 2001 and spends up to 14 hours a day in the vineyard, doing much of the work himself.
And the hard work has paid off. His wines are some of the most exciting to come out of southern Burgundy today. Buy, drink and be very, very merry.
